Trussville, Ala-- He knows where everything is -- that's how classmates describe Hunter Bledsoe.
Bledsoe is an eighth-grade student at Hewitt-Trussville Middle School. The 13-year-old earned second place in a National Geography Bee on Wednesday, along with $15,000 in scholarship money.
Do you know where the highest point in Africa is? What about which country Cook Islanders are citizens of?
Those are just two of the questions Bledsoe had to answer.
Bledsoe’s uncle said he prepared with atlases, frequent trips to the bookstore, and had to give up some holiday time with family to take second place.
