DECATUR, Ala. (AP) -- Authorities have identified the body of a Kentucky man found floating in Flint Creek in Decatur.

Morgan County Coroner Russ Beard says the death of 58-year-old Eugene Collins has been ruled an accidental drowning. His body was found Sunday afternoon.

Beard says Collins apparently was traveling from Birmingham to Tennessee, possibly for a summer job. Decatur police believe Collins had camped out beneath the U.S. 31 bridge over Flint Creek.

Beard says Collins' body has been sent to family members in Manchester, Kentucky. He says the district attorney did not request an autopsy.
