Firefighters remain on the scene of an apartment fire in Hoover.
Dispatchers sent crews to 1700 Rime Village Drive about 6:15pm tonight, with reports of flames seen on the roof of an apartment building.
Firefighters doused the fire, and brought the blaze under control.
There are no reports of injuries.
There is no official cause to the fire yet, but a Hoover fire official says lightning was in the area at the time.
