Police are investigating the circumstances involving the shooting of a man in Birmingham today.
It happened about 1:00pm at 2731 8th Avenue North.
A police investigator says a man was shot outside an adult bookstore, and then went inside the store for help.
The victim appears to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
A Birmingham Police Lieutenant says the incident was an attempted robbery in the parking lot of the bookstore.
