The Day Ahead- Wednesday, June 11, 2008:
-The Jefferson State Bettye Fine Collins Senior Center will have their grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony today. The activities will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the LeRoy Brown Physical Education Building on the Jefferson Campus. There will be guest speakers to include Commissioner Bettye Fine Collins, Judy Merritt, President of Jefferson State and John Daniel, Director of the BFC Senior Center.
-The Birmingham City Council will meet today at 5 p.m. to resume discussing the proposed 2008-2009 city budget.
