Opelika Army Reserve unit returning from Iraq this week

OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) - Members of the Army Reserve's 206th Transportation Company are returning to Opelika from a year in Iraq.



The city plans a welcome home celebration Fridayin front of the Veterans Memorial Monument at the Opelika City Hall.



City spokeswoman Jan Gunter says streets surrounding City Hall will close at 7 p.m. for the 8 p.m. event. She also says the city will provide small American flags for participants.



Organizers meet Monday (today) to complete plans for the celebration.
