Troopers investigate fatal crash

SOMERVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Alabama state troopers are investigating a 1-vehicle crash that killed a Hartselle man and critically injured his passenger on Alabama 36 west of Somerville.



Morgan County Coroner Russ Beard said 20-year-old Douglas Woods was killed in Sunday's wreck. He said 19-year-old Travis Hulsey, also of Hartselle, was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital with life threatening injuries. His condition was not immediately available. The accident occurred at about 3:45 a.m.



Troopers said the vehicle Woods was driving hit a culvert, overturned and landed upside down in a restaurant parking lot.
