Airport Traffic High Despite Rising Prices

Birmingham International Airport reported on Wednesday that ticket sales increased for the month of April despite rising prices due to record airline fuel costs.
 
Passenger traffic in April climbed five percent according to an airport spokesperson.
 
The increased demand is good news for the airport as it could help guarantee future, consistent service in the Magic City at a time when airlines are cutting flights to many municipalities nationwide the spokesperson said.
