The Day Ahead- Wednesday, June 4, 2008:
-The Birmingham Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold its Annual Project SHARE Volunteer Recognition today at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens at 11:30 a.m. For 26 years, Project SHARE has been helping low-income elderly and disabled Alabamians meet their energy needs.
-The Alabama Supreme Court will be hearing oral arguments today on the Jefferson County Commission seat election. Governor Riley appointed George Bowman to the District One seat left empty by Larry Langford. William Bell defeated Bowman in a special election. The Alabama Supreme Court is still working on the final ruling in the election.
-The Southern Museum of Flight will be honoring the Tuskegee Airmen with the Grand Opening of the Tuskegee Airmen exhibit, diorama, and art gallery tonight at 6 p.m.
