MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions has easily won renomination in Alabama's Republican primary. And state Sen. Vivian Davis Figures has captured the Democratic nomination to oppose him in November.
Returns from about two-thirds of the precincts show Sessions with 92 percent of the vote over retired postal worker Earl Mack Gavin.
On the Democratic ballot, Figures has 63 percent. She's followed by Johnny Swanson in second and Mark "No NCAA" Townsend in third.
