Birmingham’s Broadway Across America reported Tuesday that tickets sales are on par with last year’s numbers despite rising consumer costs.
Promoters for the shows said advanced marketing helps people work costs into their budgets, and while some families are cutting entertainment budgets, earlier notice gives them an opportunity to better plan for desired tickets purchases.
Broadway Across America also said it couldn’t rule out ticket price cuts the week of some show’s premieres to ease the burden on last minute buyers.
