Extreme drought conditions have disappeared in Alabama.

Alabama is recovering from lingering drought conditions.
According to the latest report from the U.S. Drought Monitor, there are no longer any areas in the state which are classified only as Exceptional or Extreme drought conditions.
Four percent of Alabama has severe drought conditions, located mostly in the northeast corner of the state.
Moderate drought conditions are in 18% of the state, and Abnormally Dry conditions are in 59% of Alabama.
41 percent of Alabama has no drought conditions at all.
