MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Governor Riley has appointed Michael
Youngpeter to serve as a Mobile County circuit judge.
Youngpeter replaces Herman Thomas, who resigned in October
before he was scheduled to go on trial before the Alabama Court of
the Judiciary on ethics charges.
Youngpeter was one of three attorneys recommended to Riley by
the Mobile County Judicial Commission. He is a 1982 graduate of the
University of South Alabama and a 1987 graduate of the University
of Alabama School of Law.
