COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Congressman Ron Paul's latest drive for campaign cash has raised an astounding $6 million in a single day.
Donations to the Republican presidential candidate had topped six million dollars by midnight, according to his campaign Web site. This may be the most money raised in a single day by any presidential candidate ever.
The campaign's previous day-long fundraiser brought in $4.2 million.
Despite being ignored by the media, Congressman Paul has managed to gather a devoted grassroots following attracted to his hands-off policy ideas and his anti-war stance.
