ST. LOUIS (AP) - Ice storm warnings are up from Texas to Pennsylvania as a storm system that hit from the Southern Plains to the Great Lakes moves eastward.

A National Weather Service forecaster in Norman, Oklahoma, says today could be even worse than yesterday because it will be colder.

The storm is blamed in at least six highway deaths in just Oklahoma. Many of the state's roads are slick and hazardous.

More than 130,000 homes and business lost power in Missouri, Oklahoma, Illinois, and Kansas.

Airlines canceled hundreds of flights.

In Missouri, the National Weather Service says some communities reported three-quarter-inch-thick ice. The governor declared a state of emergency and activated the National Guard.
