FORT PAYNE, Ala. (AP) - A DeKalb County woman was charged with murder yesterday in the death of her five-week-old son. Sheriff Jimmy Harris said Lindsey Nicole Jackson of County Roa 543 was being held in the DeKalb County Jail. Harris said sheriff's Sergeant Brad Edmondson answered a 911 call on Saturday.
He arrived at the family's home and found the father doing CPR on the unresponsive infant.
The baby was taken to Marshall Medical Center South and then flown to Huntsville Hospital.
Harris said the child's condition worsened and he died Tuesday
night.
