OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Police are sweeping the parking lot at a shopping mall in Omaha, Nebraska, where several people were apparently shot this afternoon.
Police aren't confirming the number of victims, or whether there have been any arrests. They've locked down the mall -- and outside, they're looking into vehicles, and keeping people at a distance.
Employees and shoppers at the Von Maur store in the mall say they huddled together inside the store and barricaded themselves in dressing rooms and offices for about a half-hour.
One woman says she and her 4-year-old daughter hid in a dressing room with four other shoppers and an employee, and that her "knees rocked" with fear.
Two people were seen being removed on stretchers, as rescue workers took more stretchers inside.
